None of the hospitals in Humboldt or Del Norte Counties have a federally funded hemophilia treatment center. When necessary, patients are transferred to out of area hospitals to address bleeding needs.

A national nonprofit serving the hemophilia B community for over 35 years.

Every Life Foundation
The EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases is powered by the rare disease community to improve health outcomes by driving change through evidence-based policy, leading science-driven policy and regulatory research, activating the community to advocate for their rights and needs, and strengthening the rare disease community.

Foundation for Women and Girls with Blood Disorders
In 2010, the Foundation for Women & Girls+ with Blood Disorders (FWGBD), a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, was launched to serve as a single site, single source where physicians and healthcare providers can obtain information. Provider education, across disciplines, will be the focus of the Foundation. We will benefit women and girls by educating their providers. 
+This includes people who have or had the ability to menstruate.

Hemophilia Federation of America
The vision of the Hemophilia Federation of America is to improve the care and quality of life for all people with bleeding disorders by removing barriers to diagnosis, treatment, and cure.

Project Share
Donate your unwanted factor products to Project SHARE. Project SHARE (Supplying Hemophilia Aid and Relief) is a humanitarian program that donates blood-clotting medicine called factor to developing countries. Our recipients are patients, doctors, clinics, and hospitals in countries where factor is scarce or unavailable.

Save One Life
Save One Life improves the quality of life and future of people with bleeding disorders in developing countries through direct financial assistance.

Financial Resources

The Assistance Fund (TAF)
An independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance to patients with serious and chronic diseases. TAF has programs for copay assistance, insurance premiums and incidentals, and healthcare expenses.

Patient Access Network (PAN) Foundation
The PAN Foundation provides financial assistance for individuals with hemophilia. The assistance is out-of-pocket costs, such as deductibles, co-pays and coinsurance, travel expenses, and health insurance premiums.

Patient Services Incorporated (PSI)
Patient Services Incorporated (PSI) offers assistance with insurance co-pays and premiums for individuals with hemophilia. The A.C.C.E.S.S. program will assist in explaining state and federal entitlement programs and in answering questions about insurance. California Resources

Bleeding Disorders Council of CA
Our mission is to champion the needs of Californians with bleeding disorders by breaking down barriers to care, expanding treatment access, and strengthening support systems through advocacy, education, and strategic partnerships with our founding organizations, chapters, and the communities we serve.

California Children's Services
CCS is a State program for children with certain diseases or health problems. Through this program, children up to 21 years old can get the health care and services they need.

GHPP
The Genetically Handicapped Persons Program (GHPP) is a health care program for adults with specific genetic diseases.

PG&E Medical Baseline Program
The Medical Baseline Program is also known as Medical Baseline Allowance. It assists residential customers who depend on power for certain medical needs. Eligibility and application details can be found below.
